13. Habitat:  wooded edge of large canal and subdivision with trees and pond

14. Behavior of bird / circumstances of observation (flying, feeding, resting; include and stress habits used in identification; relate events surrounding observation):  flying from tree to tree and fly catching insects; also perched in tree where pictures were taken

Description (include only what was actually seen, not what "should" have been seen; include if possible: total length/relative size compared to other familiar species, body bulk, shape, proportions, bill, eye, leg, and plumage characteristics. Stress features that separate it from similar species):  size of kingbirds, grey head, white throat, dark brownish wings and tail, notched tail, bright yellow belly, long black bill

17. Similar species (include how they were eliminated by your observation):  Couch’s Kingbird has a shorter and thicker bill and less of a notched tail

19. Previous experience with this species:  seen at this location in 3/5/2010 and 2/10/2011; seen in Rio Grande Valley Texas in 11/6/2007 and 2/24/2011
