open grassland, a couple of trees, catfish ponds, maintenance shed

Behavior of bird: 

Perched calmly on wire near shed, flew to a tree near the shed.

Description:

I told everyone to be certain to eliminate other flycatchers as Eastern Phoebe and juvenile Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, which we did.  Medium sized bird larger than Vermillion Flycatcher that was nearby.  Gray upper parts, salmon colored belly, lighter breast, dark bill with dark color extending thru eye.  tail dark to black.
Flycatcher habits, perching catching insects on the wing evidenced.

I can't think of anything that could be confused with Say's Phoebe other than species above.
