characteristics. Stress features that separate it from similar species):
Approximate size of an Eastern Phoebe; grayish upper parts with slightly
darker gray head; pale gray throat and breast; rufous-orange belly to
undertail coverts; dark gray or blackish tail; white or pale gray wingbars;
whitish edgings to the tertials, secondaries, and greater coverts; small,
thin, dark flycatcher bill. |

17. Similar species (include how they were eliminated by
your observation): Female Vermilion Flycatcher can look superficially similar
but is much smaller and has a different pattern and color to the underparts;
otherwise a fairly straightforward ID when seen well. |
