Sunny day, sun overhead at 11:15 AM

Optical equipment: 

The MacGillivray's Warbler was ten feet away in the grass. No binoculars were needed.

 

Distance to bird(s): 

Ten feet at closest.

 

Duration of observation:

Five minutes

 

Habitat: 

Grassy area

 

Behavior of bird: 

Robby Bacon originally spotted the MacGillivray's Warbler. It jumped further down in the grass making it hard to get pictures.

 

Description:

See picture ... it had a dark gray head, throat, and upper breast with a yellow belly and flanks. There were bold white crescents above and below its eye. It had an olive colored back and wings.

 

Voice:

Not vocal.

Similar species:

See picture ... obvious MacGillivray's Warbler.
