discovered that there were 3 LTDU present.

bird(s): probably at closest perhaps 100 yards |

The birds were flushed before I could really study them. |

13. Habitat: Shell spoil bank on gulf shore. |

14. Behavior of bird /
circumstances of observation: Birds were preening and walking
around on spoil bank. A fisherman
walking on the bank scared the birds farther away. |

Stress features that separate it from similar species): Small whitish ducks, clearly
Long-tailed Ducks, but I didn’t get good looks when they were close enough to
discern details. |
