Active; calling and moving. Investigated playback. |

other familiar species, body bulk, shape, proportions, bill,
eye, leg, and plumage characteristics. Stress features that separate it from
similar species): Phillip and I were at opposite
ends of Recovery Rd. We both independently detected the bird calling, loud dee-ee. Once the bird was located, the I.d. was confirmed: large bulky flycatcher, black cap
with prominent white supercilium, white throat, yellow below, rufous brown
above with bright rufous in wings and tail. |
