Bird was perched on a lone tree snag.

Description:

Grayish head and slightly greenish dorsal surface, throat whitish, ventral surface yellow.

Voice:

none noted

Similar species:

Tropical kingbird.  Thick bill. Tail not forked. Others that viewed the bird a day later played sound recording and bird responded to Couch's Kingbird call.
