Behavior of bird: |
Feeding with Blue Wing Teal and Northern
Shovelers. All observations and photographs were taken from the window of my car. Bird seemed completely
realaxed and feeding. On the 17th there was a female with him and is included
in the photograph. |
Description: |
Male was identified by plumage, and heavy bill.
Female had a heavier bill than the Blue Wings they were feeding with. Eye coloration on the male was
red. ( See attached photos.) |

No calls made |
Similar
species: |
Blue-winged teal were feeding with the pair.
Obvious difference in the males. |
