Duration of observation:

not long, birds were spooked by a passing vehicle....about a minute maybe.

coastal marsh with mudflats

perched on wire

Description:

royal blue swallow, with a rather square-shaped tail, pale orange face and throat, darker "burnt" orange forehead, pale
orange rump, belly whitish.  As I stated earlier, there wasn't much
time for observation due to the oncoming vehicle, so most time was
spent trying to photograph after the identification was made.

Voice:

Similar species:

Cliff Swallow melanogaster has a dark forehead
similar to Cave, but the throat was much lighter in color with this bird.
