Habitat:

Narrow band of spoil area next to borrow canal. Rattlebox and waxmyrtle with a couple of very small trees but no Live Oaks or other real trees. Adjacent to marsh. |

of bird: |
Responded to Pygmy-Owl tape. Flitting around in small tree and scrub. |

Description: |
Warbler with yellow rump patch and bright yellow throat. Gray back with black streaks. White underparts with black streaking on flanks; yellow patches on flanks below anterior portion of the wings. |

Voice: |
Call notes on 10 March richer than Myrtle Warbler. |

Similar species: |
Yellow rump and yellow throat makes it D. c. auduboni. |
