13. Habitat:coastal cheniere woods of live oak, hackberry, pecan, honey locust

14. Behavior of bird / circumstances of observation (flying, feeding, resting; include and stress habits used in identification; relate events surrounding observation): actively feeding from undercanopy of live oaks down to shrub/herb layer

Description (include only what was actually seen, not what "should" have been seen; include if possible: total length/relative size compared to other familiar species, body bulk, shape, proportions, bill, eye, leg, and plumage characteristics. Stress features that separate it from similar species): Fairly large warbler. Upperparts deep slaty-gray with sparse darker streaking on back. Yellow coronal patch. White arcs above and below eyes, otherwise face slaty gray, perhaps darker lores. Throat bright yellow and very cleanly demarcated. Chest very dark blackish gray. Belly white, with dark gray streaks along flanks. Wings very dark gray with broad white patch on median and greater wing coverts. Bright yellow rump.

16. Voice: not recorded, probably not heard at all

17. Similar species (include how they were eliminated by your observation): Distinctive. I did not see any indication of “Myrtle” characters.
