as close as 10 feet when at the feeder.  30 feet when in the shrubs.

Description:

    I could only ID this as a Rufous/Allen's.  Paul Dickson banded it before Christmas and it had not developed enough to ID it.  He recaptured it on the 5th of February and determined it to be an Allen's

N/A

 

Similar species:

Rufous.  I couldn't distinguish between the two.  I took Paul's word that this was an Allen's.
