Description:

Banded by L. Beall 1/2/08 10:25am, Band No. C26869; exp. culmen=16.57mm, wg

chord=42.35mm, tail=25.45mm, corrugations=20%, P7=10%, slightly worn immature

rectrices, rectrix widths: R1=7.53mm, R2=7.04mm, R5=2.81mm. Moderate contour molt

all over; 7 central gorget feathers. Fat=0, 3.42g (bird fed in trap before

retrieved).

Similar species:

Using Stiles Table 1 (1972), Rufous is excluded by measurements of wing chord, R1

and R5. Exposed culmen and tail length fell below Stiles average for immature

female Rufous. R2 was not particularly helpful because it was somewhat wider than

typical for immature female Allen's. Overall, bird was petite compared to Rufous.
